    Hello Muzzol!

    After the last run of the command is the source volume's folder empty?
    If not, please run the following command and post the output here (pastebin is perfect):

    Code:
    tree /path/to/volum30g

    That's great... Could you also post the output of the "zxsuite powerstore getAllVolumes" command please?

    Hello muzzol!

    Did you run the blob check I suggested earlier?

    If ALL files still in the /opt/storage30g/ folder are listed in the output file for this command, you are free to delete them, otherwise we'll need to deeper analyze the issue (I'll send you a PM in this case).

    ok, I've executed zxsuite powerstore doVolumeToVolumeMove volum30g nfssynology
    SEVERAL times.

    and now there's only 3 msg files remaining in old volume, but there's still lot of empty dirs. snippet:

    Code:
    /opt/storage30g
    ├── /opt/storage30g/0
    │** ├── /opt/storage30g/0/100
    │** │** └── /opt/storage30g/0/100/msg
    │** │**     ├── /opt/storage30g/0/100/msg/0
    │** │**     └── /opt/storage30g/0/100/msg/1
    │** ├── /opt/storage30g/0/101
    │** │** └── /opt/storage30g/0/101/msg
    │** │**     ├── /opt/storage30g/0/101/msg/0
    │** │**     └── /opt/storage30g/0/101/msg/1
    │** ├── /opt/storage30g/0/102
    │** │** └── /opt/storage30g/0/102/msg
    │** │**     └── /opt/storage30g/0/102/msg/0

    and doVolumeToVolumeMove seems to ignore last 3 files:

    Code:

    I'm not really worried about losing 3 mails, but we plan to move all our temporary nfs volume to a fiber one, so I need to know that we'll not face this problem in the future.

    I would like to dig a little bit more in this issue, is there any other debug commands I should perform?

    Hello muzzol!
    The empty dirs are perfectly normal, as ZxPowerstore only acts on files...

    About the other debugging you can do, did you try running the blob check command with the option I suggested twice earlier to see if any unexpected blobs are found? Any file identified as an unexpected BLOB is safe to be deleted if ZxPowerstore does not move it.

    Other than this, to be sure that nothing is left behind always check and fix any database and blob issues before moving data from a volume to another.

    do you mean zmblobchk?

    I've runned 3 or 4 times and there's a lot of entries:

    Code:
    zmblobchk --unexpected-blob-list /tmp/unexpected-blob-list-3.log -v start
    most of them are ".bak" files:

    Code:
    $ cat /tmp/unexpected-blob-list-3.log  | wc -l
    4848
    $ cat /tmp/unexpected-blob-list-3.log  | grep ".bak$" | wc -l
    4779
    $ cat /tmp/unexpected-blob-list-3.log  | grep -v ".bak$" | wc -l
    69
    so I can remove these, right?

    that's what I'm trying!

    I'll remove all .bak files listed in unexpected-blob log and I'll run again the check.

    thx for your time,

    muzzol
