    Problem with Android forwarding emails

    Dear all,
    I have opened these two bug to thunderbird bugzilla and to Android mailing list:

    Issue 36774 - android - Mail - Multipart/alternative : can't view the body, because boundary parameter is not written in Content-Type - Android - An Open Handset Alliance Project - Google Project Hosting

    In few words: Android (many versions) is not able to create a reply/forward email in a correct format. A "boundary=xxx" key is missing after the "multipart/alternative" in the header, so many client have problems to show the body (thunderbird shows nothing!)

    Do you think ZxMobile can be the source of the problem or can help Android to work fine?
    Anybody else has this problem?

    We'll need to run some tests to see if one or more of your questions can be answered with YES, can you please send me a sample in .eml format of both the original email and the reply generated by the mobile? You can send the files via email to community@zextras.com...

    The wrong email was produced about two week ago with the 1.4.0 version of ZxModule (we have only it; no ZxBackup, neither ZxPowerstore).

    Now we have the 1.4.1 but the problem still exists.

    Hi,
    same problem here. 20 phones Galaxy S2 with ICS 4.04.
    Forwarding an email is almost impossible.
    Verified with Zextras 1.4.0 and also with 1.4.1.

    Every forwarded email contains the error:
    "X-Amavis-Alert: BAD HEADER SECTION, MIME error: error: multipart boundary is missing, or contains CR or LF."
    and appears completely blank.

    Looking at the email source,near the lines:

    Content-type: multipart/alternative
    X-Mailer: Zimbra 7.1.4_GA_2568

    I can't see the definition [ boundary="----xyz" ]
    ...am i wrong or there should be something similar before the X-Mailer string?

    Hello everybody,

    our devs confirm that the issue is caused by ZeXtras Mobile. A fix is being tested right now and will be available in ZeXtras Suite 1.4.2 which is going to be released Monday Sept. 3rd 2012.

    As soon as the code is built I'll provide you with a download link so all customer experiencing this issue can install a "preview" (but fully functional) package for version 1.4.2. The final tests and the build of the package shouldn't take more than 1 hour, stay tuned!
