    HTML emails synced via Active Sync don't display correctly

    Hello, I've been running the trial version of ZxMobile for a couple weeks now and I love it. I have one problem though, HTML emails that I open on my Windows phone don't display properly. One specific example is my Hulu subscription updates only show up as plain text. When I view the same email through Zimbra desktop they have all the proper formatting and download images from the web as expected. Also if I forward the emails to another email account they display properly on my Windows phone. It's not a Windows phone problem because the emails displayed in HTML format when I was using IMAP to access my Zimbra email. This problem doesn't seem to be limited to just the Hulu emails as I have other HTML emails that display correctly in the desktop client but not on my phone.

    Is this a limitation of the trial version? I plan to purchase a license as the ability to access my calendar on my phone is awesome and I also like the peace of mind that ZxBackup gives me. This HTML formatting problem is not a deal breaker but it would be nice if HTML formatting wasn't broken by using Active Sync.

    welcome to the forums!

    Can you please forward a couple of those emails to my address, community@zextras.com, so that we'll be able to perform some custom tests?
    Please make sure you send those emails in the .eml format (in ZD/ZWC go to Preferences -> Mail -> Composing and choose "Include original message as attachment" from the "Forward" drop-down menu.)

    Hello I'm just checking back to see if there are any updates on this issue. I did send some sample emails on 5/22 via email so let me know if you didn't receive them.

    I worked around this problem by setting up both ActiveSync and IMAP on my phone. On my phone I disabled mail synchonization on the ActiveSync account so that it's not downloading two copies of every email. This works and now HTML emails are formatted properly but I'd prefer to have HTML emails displaying properly when downloaded via ActiveSync.

    Unfortunately, I couldn't reproduce the issue with your sample email (tried on our WP7 test device).

    Is your ZeXtras Suite version up to date? The last releases improved the overall HTML compatibility, so it's worth a try...
    If your server is up to date and the email is still broken, please send me a couple more samples so that we'll try to find out why those are not displayed.

    Hey Cine,

    I've done some more research on this and it looks like WP7 doesn't support HTML emails when using ActiveSync 2.5 (Exchange 2003 SP2). It's only supported in version 12.0 and higher (Exchange 2007 and higher). Does ZeXtras Mobile use Activesync 2.5?

    I can confirm that ZeXtras Mobile uses version 2.5 of the protocol.

    I'll try and see with the devs if there is any workaround to this, but I'm afraid it will take some time....
