    Outlook 2016

    Hi
I am running Outlook 2016 and when I try and connect to my Zextras server I get the following:

Log onto Exchange ActiveSync mail server (EAS): The server cannot be found.

I can connect fine from this machine using webmail so I know its not an issue with the network, I can also connect to that zextras server using mobile.

    Any help or tips?

    Thanks

    Michael

    Hi Michael

You problem seems to be related to the Autodiscover function.
Please take a look to our setup guide:

    Hi,
The server in question works fine with Outlook 2013 so I think the autodiscover works ok. I have tried again this evening, when manually setting up it says can't find server. When using autodiscover it says "An encrypted connection to your mail server is not available".
    Any other pointers please?

    Thanks

    Hi Michel,

the error message you have posted is a right clue, as reported on our Wiki:
Outlook 2013 uses SSL by default and won't synchronize to a server in http mode. In order to see how to enable SSL on your Zimbra server, check out the official Zimbra documentation here.
...to working with outlook 2013 you need to use a correctly configured SSL certificate on your zimbra server.

    Have a nice holiday season.

    Hi,
Outlook 2013 is working fine for us. It is outlook 2016 we are having issues with. The SSL cert is a commercial one and working fine.

    Thanks

    Hello Michael!

If I remember correctly Outlook 2016 is a bit stricter than its predecessor when it comes to SSL, you might want to check your server with Qualsys' SSL Server Test to make sure that no critical vulnerabilities/errors appear...

    Have a nice day,

    Hi,
Just FYI. It turns out this is an issue with Windows 7. With Windows 10 works fine.
    Thanks
