    Zimbra 8.6, Samsung Galaxy S4, Android 5.0.1, Sync-Problem, Contacts,Folders,Shared .

    Zimbra Opensource: 8.6.0_GA_1169 Patched
    ZExtras: 2.0.2
    Samsung Galaxy S4
    Android 5.0.1
    EAS: 14.0

    Problem Description:

    Emails and Calendar synced fine.
Only 5 of 104 Contacts are synced
    No Folders synced
No accepted Shared Folders are synced.

We can see all the items in zimbra Webmail and we have synced contacts and so before via z-Push successfull.
Now with ZExtras Modile we cannot sync this.

Please inform us what we can do to resolve this.

    Best Regards
    Guido

    Hello Guido,
    welcome to the forums!

In order to investigate the issue I'd like more information, could you please:
    * Delete the Exchange account from the affected device.
    * Add an Account Logger to the affected mailbox as described at ZxMobile Troubleshooting - ZeXtras Suite Wiki
    * Create the Exchange account on the affected device.
    * Let the first sync complete and reproduce the issue.
    * Send the Account Logger logfile to community@zextras.com (please include this thread's URL in the message's subject).

Also, our tests showed Samsung's stock EAS client is usually less than reliable: after sending the logs could you please try installing MailWise from the Play Store and setting up your Exchange account trhough that?

    Have a nice day,

Currently we have switched back to Sync via Z-Push and all is OK.

We will configure a separate Account on our Zimbra-System for the Tests wy we need our Phones and Datas for our Work.

We reply when we have create the Test-Account and made the Tests.

    Best Regards
    Guido

    Hello Guido!

I have 1 question in the meantime: did you delete and reconfigure the EAS account on your device after moving to ZxMobile?

    Hi Cine,

yes, we does followed for 4 times without Success!

    1.Delete Account from Phone
    2.Delete Device from Zimbra ZExtras-Mobile
    3.Add Account on our Phone
4.Phone is registered and visible in Zextras Mobile with EAS 2.5 (Clear is the set Default in ZExtras-Mobile)
5.Emails, Calendar-Items are synced fast and successfull
    6.Only 5 of 104 Contacts are synced
7.No shared Folders was we have accepted in Zimbra are synced.

Sorry for the Delay but we must complete our Migration (Zimbra SSL Hardening and so).
We must also currently create and test a script for a scheduled move from the local Zextras-Backups from our Zimbra-System to our Remote-NFS for Backups.

We will test this tomorrow night on the same Phone with a separate account!

    Is this ok for you?

    Best Regards!
    Guido

    Hello Guido!

    Sure, no problem at all

[EDIT]: About the shared folders: did you enable the sync as described at http://wiki.zextras.com/wiki/ZxMobil...Shared_Folders ?

    Hi Cine,

the Problem with the Remote-Folder is resolved, we oversee that the ZeXtras Client Zimlet is not deployed in our Infrastructure we have this made now and see on our Phone the shared folders!

But the Problem with the Contacts is now open and very important to resolve!!!

The Log we have sent to the emailaddress community@zextras.com.

    Best Regards
    Guido

    Hello Guido!

We received the logs and are investigating the issue.

Just one quick questions: are the missing contacts in the "/Contacts" folder or are those in different folders? IIRC, Android devices usually only sync the "/Contacts" folder and are unable to sync additional folders (this is a client-driven setting: ZeXtras Mobile will sync any folder requested by the mobile, but it's the client itself that chooses which ones).

    Have a nice day,
