    Pop-up notifications

Just found the ZeXtras Suite yesterday and absolutely love it. Wish I would have found it sooner.

Question - Is there a way to generate a pop-up or some sort of obvious notification when receiving an incoming chat? Thanks and my apologies if I missed this question elsewhere in the forum.

    Hello Kevin,
    welcome to the forums!

If you use either Ubuntu 12.10+ as your OS or Google Chrome as your browser you can enable the "Desktop Notifications" feature from the ZxChat preferences. This will display a nice popup notification on the bottom-right corner of your screen each time you receive a new message!

    Have a nice day,

Hello, sorry to post to a very old thead but I have similar questions.

    I deployed ZxChat v.1.35 on Zimbra 8.6
The client browser is Google CHrome and OS is Ubuntu 14.04. If the zimbra webmail is not the active tab, there is no notification of a new chat message. No blinking, no desktop notify, no chrome notification, nothing. The user has to activate the Zimbra Webmail tab to get a new message notification. The popup window is displayed while the webamil windows is active otherwise user cannot see the pop-up. The same with Firefox 46. I think this is not the expected notification behavior. What do you advice to get notification working

    Hi,
After some trial, I found out that for Chrome notification to work, the url of the server must be added manually to Chrome settings.
    d0s0n and bud like this.
