    not possible to deploy ZxChat zimlet 1.13

    Hello,

    I have just installed the ZeXtras Suite 1.8.10, but it seems that the bundled/or latest Zimlet will not deploy.
    ERROR: "zimlet description not found: zextras_chat_zimlet-latest.tgz.xml"
    I'm using Zimbra 7.2.4 on CentOS6: Release 7.2.4_GA_2900.RHEL6_64_20130523110956 CentOS6_64 FOSS edition.

    Tried reinstalling using the Suite:

    Using the Admin console I see that there is a new version 1.13

    But when I click deploy it never finishes (probably because of the same error)

    When I want to deploy it manually (downloading from http://www.zextras.com/zextras-chat-for-zimbra.html) and using the Zimlets section of the Admin console, it's also not working and it gives the same error.

    Hello Peter!

    I'm checking you report with the devs, but in the meantime I'd just like to clarify one thing: the zimlet included in the ZeXtras Suite package is the ZeXtras Administration Zimlet (com_zextras_zextras), not the ZeXtras Chat Zimlet (com_zextras_zxchat)

    Also, the "zimlet description not found: zextras_chat_zimlet-latest.tgz.xml" error appears due to the fact that the "zextras_chat_zimlet-latest.tgz" is not the zimlet file itself, but just a package containing the ZeXtras Chat Zimlet + the readme file. If you wish to try a manual deploy, please unpack the .tgz file and deploy the "com_zextras_zxchat.zip" file threreby contained.

    The actual issue here is on the Auto Deploy, and in order to better understand why it fails I'd like you to provide me an extract of the mailbox.log starting just before pressing the "Deploy" button. You can email the log to community@zextras.com.

    Sorry Cine,

    I didn't know.
    The Admin Zimlet is installing fine, the result that I found in my mailbox.log is from deploying the chat zimlet.
    Not using the Suite install as I mentionned before. (I first tried everything before I searched the logs)

    It seems that I'm not very well awake today :-)

    At least you are correct, there seems to be an issue with the autodeploy of the zimlet.
    I've send you the portion of the mailbox.log file, but I don't see any error in it.

    If you want I try to deploy using the zimlets section? (and now using the right way)

    Deploying from the command line/Administration Consoel would be great, this way we can see if the issue is only related with the Autodeploy or with the zimlet file itself... Should this fail, please send me any exception or error you can find in the mailbox.log around the time you started the deploy.

    Also, could you please send me a larger portion of the log you sent? The portion between 11:30 and 11:50 would be optimal.

    Hello Cine,

    I have tried to deploy using the regular Zimbra way (section zimlets, using the zip file) and this works.
    The version is now also updated to 1.13.

    We can conclude that the issue is related to the autodeploy functionality of the Zextras Suite.

    I've send you the mailbox.log file since 11:29 until now (including the successful deployment).

    I'd need some more logs from you

    First of all, set ZeXtras Suite's log level to "debug" ("Core" tab of the ZeXtras Administration Zimlet - "Log Level" dropdown menu).
    Next, enable ZeXtras Chat Audit Logs (run `zxsuite chat setProperty ZxChat_LogEnabled ture` as the zimbra user).

    Run the autodeploy again, wait for 10 mins and send me both the mailbox.log extract and the zxchat.log file...

    I did as you asked, but I'm afraid I cannot give you more information:
    1. the log level was already on "Debug"
    2. I haven't enabled the chat module, so a zxchat.log file is not generated (In the beginning I got once a day an email concerning the chat module that was not installed, so since then I have it deployed but never enabled -> we really don't need it)

    Anyway, I tried again, but it's still not working. I've send you the mailbox.log files.

    The ZeXtras Chat module is part of ZeXtras Suite, so if ZeXtras Suite is installed on the server the module is installed too... The email you were getting was about the ZeXtras Chat Zimlet not being installed, since it's a required component in order to use the ZeXtras Chat module but it's not installed by the ZeXtras Installer.

    You can check the status of the ZeXtras Chat server component by running
    Code:
    zxsuite chat getProperty ZxChat_Enabled
    as the 'zimbra' user.

    The server is only enabled by default on Zimbra 8.x, you can enable the ZeXtras Chat server either through the ZeXtras Administration Zimlet or by running
    Code:
    zxsuite chat server start
    as the 'zimbra'user.

    Once the server is correctly enabled, please run
    Code:
    zxsuite chat setProperty ZxChat_LogEnabled true
    as the 'zimbra' user to enable the Audit Logging feature.

    Retry to Autodeploy the ZeXtras Chat zimlet, wait 10 minutes and send me the /opt/zimbra/log/zxchat.log file.
