    Return key does not send message on IE 11

    Hello everybody,
    recently we upgraded our 8.7.11 Zimbra Server to ZeXtras 2.6.5 (we have Backup and Mobile modules) and we decided to move from Zimbra Free Chat to ZxChat, as suggested by ZeXtras installer. Everything works normally, but our users with Internet Explorer 11 can not send messages in chat anymore because when they hit Enter key, it inserts a new line in the chat window and it does not send the message.
    Is there an option to disable this new line feature? Other browsers work normally.

    Yes. We have already received other feedback for IE11, and our developers have been worked on a new release of the ZxChat Zimlet that will fix this issue.

    I'm quite confident that the fix should be released in the next few days.

    Hello everybody, we managed to install ZeXtras update only yesterday, so sorry for the late response...
    Unfortunately the update did not solve the problem: we updated to ZeXtras 2.6.6 (that includes ZxChat 2.3) but the problem persists with Explorer 11. Did we miss something to install/configure? Can I provide you more details?

    Could you please check - through the user's WebClient - if the deployed Zimlet version is the 2.3 @6ca4d8? The version is available under Preference -> About tabs

    Hello Luca, following your suggestion we noticed that on the client the zimlet version is 2.1, but in the admin interface zimlet version 2.3 is deployed:





    We also tried to re-deploy 2.3 zimlet and used " su - zimbra -c 'zmprov fc -a zimlet' " but without positive effects.

    Hi cinmar

    I know! Browser cache is a mess, and often it's the main guilty of javascript errors.
    The browser doesn't respect the refresh request, and it uses the js from the cache even if the server is asking for a newer version.

    Please, completely delete your browser cache and retry.

    problem solved! Now version 2.3 is correctly loaded on our clients and the enter key problem is gone. Bye
