Does Zxchat work with zimbra desktop?

Zxchat work when i login on web browser but not on Zimbra desktop
When i open zimbra desktop i got this error
"The Zextras Chat Server is not installed or is currently disabled. Please contact your administrator"

I'd like to know whether Zxchat is compatible with Zimbra desktop or not?
If it's compatible please suggest me the solution.

    Hello maxrva,
    welcome to the forums!

ZeXtras Chat is not compatible with Zimbra Desktop, but thanks to its XMPP capabilities you'll be able to connect to your server with any client supporting this protocol (such as Pidgin, Xabber or Adium).

I assume that on a single-server setup, just create firewall rules to allow XMPP ports to the ZCS server but how about in my case, we have a multi-server setup with the Zimbra Proxy as the front-end?

    Hi Dennis,

Cine has replied to the very same answer to you in another thread: http://forums.zextras.com/zxchat/910....html#post5928
For now the best way is to use some NAT rule on your proxy/proxies to redirect all xmpp requests to a single mailboxd server, the xmpp server running in any mailbox is able to handle requests for all users.

    Have a nice day.
