Zimbra taking up too much disk space.

    Hi friends.

I'm doing a migration in two Zimbra servers using Zextras, and the process of export and import was completed without problems, but the available space on the target server is much smaller. Zimbra taking up too much disk space on target server. Both servers are VMWare virtual machines. Can you help me?

    Sorry my english.

    Hi Marcelo,

you need to be careful that during the migration files are not deduplicated, so you can chose 3 ways to restore your data with the same disk space:

    • During the migration you can set the compression flag on the main message store.
    • Add a secondary compressed store (even in the same device) and starts some "doMoveBlob" operations to move and compress the importing data.
    • Last way, even with previous ways, you can start some doDeduplicate commands on your message stores, during the import.

    Have a nice migration
