    Problem importing. Missing user attributes

    Hello,

I'm trying to migrate a Zimbra installation

    I have the following problem:
When making an external import of a full scan from a server with version 7.1.2 Enterprise ZCS on our new installation of Zimbra 8 FOSS with ZeXtras, there are a lot of users who have missing these attributes: Name, Last Name amb COS. In the source server all the users from domain imasmallorca.net have an alias on domain imas.conselldemallorca.net. The distribution lists are created on domain imas.conselldemallorca.net.

I have found that users are that share a feature, all are included in several mailing lists, but not the same.

Here a piece of import log:

    Code:

    Hello s3rgi!

It seems that in Zimbra 8 the "zimbraAllowFromAddress" is filtered only to be used for external addresses, while for internal addresses you need to set up some grants and new attributes:

(I'll explain it with an example, user1@example.com needs to send emails as user2@example.com)

    * Edit the user2@example.com account so that the "user2@example.com" can be used by a delegated sender
    Code:
    zmprov ma user2@example.com +zimbraPrefAllowAddressForDelegatedSender "user2@example.com"
    * Edit the user2@example.com account to grant the appropriate right to user1@example.com
    Code:
    zmmailbox -z -m user2@example.com
mbox user2@example.com> grr account user1@example.com sendAs
    (or)
mbox user2@example.com> grr account user1@example.com sendAsDistList
This 2 steps will allow user1@example.com to "send as" user2@example.com.
In order to set the "send on behalf" instead of the "send as", simply grant the "sendOnBehalfOf" or "sendOnBehalfOfDistList" right instead of "sendAs"/"sendAsDistList".

This configurations can also be applied via the Zimbra Administration Console through the ACE management feature (only available to Network Edition users).

The devs are currently at work to provide a workaround to deal with this change during imports/restores, I'll update this thread as soon as possible.

    Have a nice day,

    Ok. Thanks for your time.

We'll have to wait for the new version to migrate to the new version of Zimbra. There is possibility to know the ETA of this change on ZeXtras?

We are in process of buying licenses ZeXtras (you know ... public administration), but not if it will arrive in time for the end of the trial (18 Nov.). There is a possibility of extending the trial until the purchase of licenses?

    Thanks for all.
