    [SOLVED] dataferry filesystem corruption

After running a fullScan and a restore we run a smartscan but it fails due to a corrupt filesystem on the data ferry.
We want to move to the new server tonight but are stuck now.
an e2fsck -f -c -v on the data ferry will take way too long

is there another way to fix this ?

it seems that the data ferry in the whole Zextras concept is the Achilles Heel,
f something happens with the data ferry during the transition you are stuck

    Hi Perry.
As in every system, a Reliable storage is a mandatory requirement.
We are planning a "dataferry-less" migration, but it's in our TODO list and there are many lines in that list

You are absolutely right, we always tested our data ferry before using it but apparently something on the server we are using for the migration
destroys the hdd after a while. What caused this is still a mystery, the boot hdd has no problems it's always the data ferry hdd that dies during the
transition. Maybe it's because this hdd is on top of 2 fans. I'm now trying with the data ferry in a different position and put some isolation underneath.
