    Many unrestored Items because of java.lang.RuntimeException: size not found in metada

    Migrating from Zimbra 8.5.0 to 8.8.12 using migration tool and Zextras 3.0.0 we are seeing a lot of Unrestored Items. Currently we can restore about 2% of items. So almost all fail to restore. The message is each time the same

    Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException: size not found in metadata

    I tried
    zmlocalconfig -e zimbra_lmtp_validate_messages=false

    But that does have any effect. Exactly the same number of items fail to restore. With the same message.

    Can we force restore in another way? Of should w consider those items lost.

    I also tried migration from Zimbra 8.7.11 RHEL6 to Zimbra 8.7.11 Ubuntu 16.04. Exact same problem. Zextras suite 3.0 does not seem compatible with migration tool 2.4.12.

    Or is that once you install Zimbra you are locked to the OS and version maybe even the physical machine? If you need to upgrade OS you basically just start a new mail domain? This is curious fact about Zimbra.

    Same issue: I'm testing a transfer from Zimbra 8.7.11 Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS to Zimbra 8.8.15 Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS.
    ZExtras Migration Tool version is 2.4.12.

    With previous version of zextras I have no problems, but with 3.0.0 restore fails like ono007 describes.
    Can I download previous version of zextras?

    Update: maybe zextras 3.0.1 solved the issue. When restore has finished I will tell you.
