    Incremental Migration - Stats.

    Good morning everyone.

I am busy doing a migration from Zimbra 8.0.7 to Zimbra 8.7.11.

Current Stats as of 27/06/2017 08:53:
    • Smart Scan Started: 20/06/2017 08:20:08
    • Accounts scanned: 244/327
    • Account updated/new: 0/247
    • Item scanned: 6133816
    • Item updated/new/unique: 0/6123193/4965854

    Current Server Stats:
    • STORE0: /opt/zimbra/store: 1.6T
    • STORE1: /opt/zimbra2: 519G
    • MIGRATION: /migrate: 493G

So, after 7 days (168 hours), my first scan is 3/4 way through my accounts.

Is this correct? It seems like an awful amount of time spent to do the first step in the migration. My scenario/implementation of mail can not be even close to being a big one with only 327 accounts? Is this typical and normal for a smart scan?

I will keep this updated as I proceed.

    kind regards

    Hi, Cyber7!

    10 Items/sec is a very low value...
In your case the main bottleneck should be caused by I/O throughput: can you please tell me what's your setup? Is a physical or virtual environment (and is there a snapshot active)?

It could be useful some performance statistics, like

    Code:
    dd if=/dev/zero of=/migrate/testfile bs=512 count=1000
    Code:
    dd if=/dev/zero of=/migrate/testfile bs=1G count=1
    and
    Code:
    iostat -xm10
(lauch as root, while smart scan is running)

Feel free to share your results here or open a Tech Support request at Zextras Support Portal!

    Have a nice day,

    Hi larcara
It is a bit behind - I have completed the initial dump and is busy with the restore.

After getting a log of UNKNOWNFOLDERS I deleted all my accounts, went back to the old server and ran:
    zxsuite backup dosmartscan deep true

and started the restore again. It seems my UNKNOWNFOLDERS problem was rectified.
