    Error: ZeXtras ZxBackup Notification, Backup Server Customizations failed.

    Getting the following error for the last 3 days;

    Our backup path is a NFS mount from the Zimbra box onto a freeNAS 9.3 supermicro storage box and the mounted backup directory from Zimbra looks like this;

    We use Crashplan Pro to offsite-backup the zcs85 directory.
    My understanding is that the ZFS file system and NFS services running on our backup path (FreeNAS) are case-sensitive. ( we have been successfully backing up to it for some years...)
    Would anyone care to suggest what the problem might be? Does it have to do with that lock file?

    Hello Julian,
    welcome to the forums!

    The lockfile you see is perfectly normal, as it's just a way to make sure that no server other than "ba7b8d55-63aa-4ac0-9d5d-befb6425d5c4" will write on that path in order to preserve data consistency.
    Could you please open a support request at ZeXtras Support Portal mentioning the URL of this post and including the full notification content together with a copy of the mailbox.log (please compress that as there's a 7mb attchment limit)?

    problem solved.
    Manually ran Smartscan from the admin gui console, and email zextras backup notification error message reads;

    -- exceptions --
    - Free space is under the threshold. Available Disk Space: 0 MB

    So, freeNAS was out of space.

    Freed up space and all good.
