    Question operation interrupted abnormally

    I want to migrate my domain mail server from zcs-8.5.0_GA_3042. For that i tried for testing. So, i exported the full configuration from current mail server and imported the same to testing mail server using Zextras application. While importing is inprogress, i got the below notification.
    Today, 8:42 PM - Error: Critical notification from ZxBackup: operation interrupted abnormally.
    ZeXtras Suite has detected an abnormal interruption of a ZxBackup operation, usually caused by a mailboxd service restart.
    Please make sure to find and fix the cause of said service restart before restarting the operation.

    My Server configuration is
    Intel Xeon E5-2670 v2 (Ivy Bridge) Processors
    RAM 15 GB

    unfortunately, the above link referenced, Running Operation Awareness - ZeXtras Suite Wiki is unhelpful.
    by checking, there is no operation pending.

    Could you please help me on this to solve this.

    Hello Somasundaram, welcome to the forums!

    The issue you report is related to an abnormal stop or restart of the the mailboxd Zimbra service during a ZeXtras Backup operation.

    Could you please:

    • Send me the mailbox.log and zmmailboxd.out files for the day the operation was started
    • Send me the output of the zmlocalconfig | grep -i mailboxd_java

    Hello Soma!

    I got the logs, and it looks like your server's Heap Size is too low, and this causes the mailboxd service to crash during the restore:

    java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
    Raising the Heap Size to a proper value as described on the official Zimbra documentation should promptly solve the issue (you'll need to restart the mailboxd service in order for the new settings to kick in)...
