    successfull migration from 6.010 32bits TO 7.1.3 64 Bits

    Old server : (asus eepc)
    debian 4 running Xen
Virtual debian 4 with Zimbra 6.0.10_GA_2692.FOSS

    New server : (HP BL460c G1)
    Xenserver 5.6
    Virtual Ubuntu10.04LTS with Zimbra 7.1.3

That was my project and my first try (without your tools) was a mess.

I found your projects on my favorites forum and I decided to make a try.
It has work on the first row.

The only difficulty was that the migration tools GUI was not visible (after the installation I get nothing in the admin web interface)
So I have done the export job with the CLI ( ./zxmig migration doExport /mnt/usb1/zxtra/ [mydomain.fr]

It is not a big zimbra, it's only a personal server but your tool save me at least a week end of hard work.

Thanks a lot for your work !!!

    Back to add two things.

First when I say that I do not get the tab Xtra-tools, it was on the old server.
On the new one, it was there and I use it to import data.

Secondly, I made a verification of the import and all the mail are ok. contact ok, calendar ok.
But I loose some documents. In the 6.0.10 version, there is one tab for documents and one tab for the briefcase and I use a lot this two functions.(and surely I get folders in the document tab)
So I saw that some documents where missing. I made a search with the GUI and I found them. Then I just made a "move" and they were back in the interface.
IN fact, I think that the tool fail to import the name of the folder in the document tab. When I made the search they were in folder like "10207" (numbers).

to be sure I get back all the documents, I made the following search a*, b*, c* ... z*

    thanks a lot

    Hello again.

I ran a batch of tests and found out that when migrating from a 6.x to a 7.x Notebooks are correctly put in the Briefcase (since Notebooks don't exist anymore in 7.x), but their type is not correctly 'translated'.

I opened a bug in the ZeXtras Bugzilla, you can find it at http://bugzilla.zextras.com/show_bug.cgi?id=16

The devs are going to have a look at it soon, thanks for your report!
