Hi Martin, and welcome to the forums!

Such migration is possible with ZeXtras Migration Tool.. I would like some additional informations so I can give you more targeted help:

    - Zimbra OSE or Network Edition on source and destination server?
    - Hardware server or Virtualization?
    - Number of mailboxes and total mailbox size?
    - Type of connection between the servers (if hardware servers)?

With this info I'll post you a step-by-step guide, in the meantime you can take a look at ZxMig - ZeXtras Suite Wiki for more informations about ZeXtras Migration Tool install procedure and general usage.

    Have a nice day,
    Cine

The best way to perform your migration with ZxMig would be:

    • Create a new 55GB Virtual Disk (45GB should be enough if you are low on space) and mount it on the Debian server.
    • Install ZeXtras Migration Tool on the Debian server.
    • Install Ubuntu and Zimbra on the new server (if you didn't already).
    • Configure Zimbra on the Ubuntu server (Server configuration is enough).
    • Install ZeXtras Suite Trial on the Ubuntu server.
    • Use ZeXtras Migration Tool to export your data from the Debian server, using a folder in the 55GB virtual disk as target directory. Remember that such folder must be owned by the Zimbra user, so use mkdir and eventually chown to create it and set the permissions.
    • Unmount the 55GB disk from the Debian server, attach it to the Ubuntu server and mount it.
    • Use ZxBackup to import your data (I suggest you not to import System Resources accounts, like ham/spam and galsync).
    • Configure your newly imported domains and enjoy your new server!

You can find detailed informations on how to perform the Export and the Import in the wiki HERE.

Feel free to ask any further question about the migration!

    Have a nice day,
    Cine
