Hello everybody!

I'm really excited to inform you that within the next 4 weeks a BETA build of ZeXtras Suite 1.8.13 will be available to all those wishing to test it.
This BETA build will feature, along all cool features of ZeXtras Suite 1.8.12 such as a completely rewritten ZeXtras Administration Zimlet, the long-awaited

XMPP INTEGRATION (yaaaaaay!!!)

This means that you will be able to connect to ZeXtras Chat through your favourite XMPP client.

More news will be available in the next weeks. If you wish to partecipate to this beta, please send and email to community@zextras.com with the [XMPPBETA1] tag in the subject, stating your Name, Company and forum username in the body of the message to be granted access to the Betatesters forums. (ZeXtras Partners are automatically included in all Beta phases).

Hello everybody!

I'm really glad to inform you that the ZeXtras Suite 1.8.12 beta is now available!

- XMPP SUPPORT INFORMATIONS
Right now, the following features are included:
Cleartext, TLS and (old) SSL login
Cleartext, TLS and (old) SSL messaging
Buddy list management - the very same ZeXtras Chat buddy list you are already using

The following features are not included yet, but will be in the next beta/final release:
Server-to-server interop - right now, only clients can connect to the server.
Message security - right now, you could send messages to a user even if the user itself is not in your buddy list.

- NEW FEATURES
XMPP Support!
The ZeXtras Administration Zimlet has been rewritten from scratch!
The ZeXtras Chat module has been rewritten from scratch!
New "Restore Deleted Accounts" button to allow an easy restore of deleted mailboxes.

- IMPROVEMENTS
The ZeXtras CLI is now much faster and responsive.
Improved restore logic for items flagged as "DELETED" via IMAP.
Multiple master LDAP servers are now supported.
Check your backupped/exported server and global configuration through 'zxsuite backup getServerConfig'.

- BUGFIXES
...as usual, lots of them! More info in the final release notes.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT:
In case Zimbra 8.0.6 and Zimbra 7.2.6 are released before the official release of ZeXtras Suite 1.8.12, all of this changes will be moved to the ZeXtras Suite 1.8.13 branch and ZeXtras Suite 1.8.12 will be a "compatibility only" release. Don't worry, tho, this won't cause any delay

Joining the beta is still possible, if you wish to apply just send and email to community@zextras.com with the [XMPPBETA1] tag in the subject, stating your Name, Company and forum username in the body of the message.

Right before the beta starts, you will receive a confirmantion email.

Hello everybody!

Zimbra 8.0.6 and Zimbra 7.2.6 have been released, so as I previously mentioned ZeXtras Suite 1.8.12 will be a compatibility-only release, while all features anticipated in this thread will be released as ZeXtras Suite 1.8.13 BETA.

Due to the Zimbra release the beta schedule has been slightly delayed, but we'll do our best to release ZeXtras Suite 1.8.13 BETA within the end of the day, or next monday at the latest.

Hello Everybody!

Straight from the Betatesters forums, a small preview of the highlights of ZeXtras Suite 1.8.13 BETA1

* The ZeXtras Chat module has been completely rewritten and now supports the XMPP protocol and related clients.
* The ZeXtras Administration Zimlet has been rewritten from scratch. While you might not see a lot of "visual" differences, everything under the hood has been rewritten and improved (e.g. the ZeXtras Administration Zimlet is now fully asynchronous and supports caching, error handling has been dramatically improved and new warning and info messages have been added to improve the user experience).
* The ZeXtras CLI has been greatly improved. You can notice this when using multiple CLI commands in the same session, as the 'zxsuite' and 'zxmig' commands are now instanced per session and not per use.
