    Installation error

    Hi,

I'm trying to instal version 1.8.15 under CentOS 5.4 with ZOSE 6.0.17 and the installation ends with the following error:

    Zimlet installation failed. Exiting.
    .......
The Zimlet installation has failed. That might be due to an incomplete startup
of the Zimbra webapp. Please verify Zimbra is up and running, then retry
the deployment of the zimlet with ./install.sh zimlet .
    .......

Any idea what could it be ?

    Thanks.
    Regards.-

    Hello agd!

As stated in the error message, the most common cause of this error is an incomplete startup of the mailboxd service... Did you try running the "./install.sh zimlet" command as suggested?

If the installation fails this way aswell, please paste any error or exception you can see in the mailbox.log during the zimlet installation.

    Hi Cine,

    Thanks for your reply.
I run the command and ended with the same error.

    Here's the mailbox.log output:

    Hello Agd!

I've seen this exception quite some times, and it's usually related to bad permissions on Zimbra's files: running the Zimbra's permission fix tool should do the trick (if it doesn't work, try to shut down all Zimbra services and run it again with the "--extended" option)...
