    PERMSize how to Adjust?

    i installed ZeXtras Suite in my zimbra 8 server and in notification i found warning sign

    ZeXtras Suite has detected that the MaxPermSize value as set in the mailboxd_java_options property of the local configuration in server may be too low (128 MB).
    Zimbra suggests to tune this option up to 350MB (see Performance Tuning Guidelines for Large Deployments - Zimbra :: Wiki for further details) to avoid slowdowns and spontaneous service restarts.

    Options should be -XX:PermSize=196m -XX:MaxPermSize=350m

    Im trying to look for a guide how adjust PermSize but i cant find any, can anyone help me.

    [zimbra@mail rocky]$ zmlocalconfig mailboxd_java_options | fmt
    mailboxd_java_options = -server -Djava.awt.headless=true
    -Dsun.net.inetaddr.ttl=60 -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:PermSize=128m
    -XX:MaxPermSize=350m -XX:SoftRefLRUPolicyMSPerMB=1
    -verbose:gc -XX:+PrintGCDetails -XX:+PrintGCTimeStamps
    -XX:+PrintGCApplicationStoppedTime -XX:-OmitStackTraceInFastThrow
    -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true

    can i just type

    zmlocalconfig -e -XX:PermSize=196m -XX:MaxPermSize=350m

    thanks

    Hello rockie88,
    welcome to the forums!

    The MaxPermSize is one of the Java command line options specified in the "mailboxd_java_options" config key.
    In order to edit it, you'll need to enter all options:

    See the current options
    Code:
    zimbra@mailserver:~$ zmlocalconfig mailboxd_java_options
    mailboxd_java_options = -server -Djava.awt.headless=true -Dsun.net.inetaddr.ttl=60 -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:PermSize=128m -XX:MaxPermSize=350m -XX:SoftRefLRUPolicyMSPerMB=1 -verbose:gc -XX:+PrintGCDetails -XX:+PrintGCTimeStamps -XX:+PrintGCApplicationStoppedTime -XX:-OmitStackTraceInFastThrow -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true
    To change the options:
    Code:
    zimbra@mailserver:~$ zmlocalconfig -e mailboxd_java_options="-server -Djava.awt.headless=true -Dsun.net.inetaddr.ttl=60 -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:PermSize=196m -XX:MaxPermSize=350m -XX:SoftRefLRUPolicyMSPerMB=1 -verbose:gc -XX:+PrintGCDetails -XX:+PrintGCTimeStamps -XX:+PrintGCApplicationStoppedTime -XX:-OmitStackTraceInFastThrow -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true"
    Have a nice day,
    Cine
