    no zimlets in administration console

    Hi guys,

    Did a first / fresh install of the Zextras Suite ( 1.80 ) on a Zimbra GA 7.20 ( Ubuntu 10.04 ) server.
But I don't have the Zextras zimlets in the administration console.

I can see, under admin Extensions the com_zextras_zextras zimlet, but that's it.
This goes for Chrome, IE and FF.

Any ideas, hints etc on how to fix this ?

Hi Marc and welcome to the forums.

It happens sometimes... often it is just a Zimbra cache problem, have you tried to enter in the adminstration console in debug mode?
To enter the debug mode, simply add the "?dev=1" string at the end of your URL (e.g. http://mail.mydomain.com:7071/?dev=1). This forces Zimbra to ignore any cached data to and reload any Javascript component separately.

    Hi D0s0n,

    Thanks for the fast reply.

    That works. Thanks.

But without it doesn't work on Chrome, FF, IE. Being FF a clean install, so this one has never touched the Zimbra Admin console before.

Is this a bug and / or will this be fixed. Or do I have to fix some things on the server ? ( already has been rebooted etc ).

Or do I / we always have log on with the /?dev=1 behind the url.

    Cheers,

    Marc

    Okay,

    An update from my side.

Upgraded Zimbra from 7.20 to 7.22 and now the Zimlets show up in the Admin Console without the /?dev=1.

    So the problem seems fixed.

    Thanks !

    Hello Marc!

That's good to know... Probably old data was still held in the zimlet cache, and such cache is surely cleared when updating Zimbra (or when the `zmcontrol fc zimlet` command is executed).

    Have a nice day,
    Cine
