    Failed to set Zextras Suite mode. Installation aborted.

    I am building a new Zimbra 8.8 server on Ubuntu 18.04 and got to the Zextras 3.0.4 install and received "Failed to set Zextras Suite mode. Installation aborted." right after it uninstalled Zimbra Chat. I tried to reinstall immediately and received the same error right here.

    Downloading the ZAL library. It might take a few minutes ...
    ** GET http://openzal.org/2.11/zal-2.11-8.8.15.jar ==> 301 Moved Permanently
    ** GET http://openzal.org/2.11/zal-2.11.0-8.8.15.jar ==> 200 OK
    Download succeeded and validated for ZAL branch 2.11 variant 8.8.15


    Zextras Suite Core will now be installed. Proceed? [Y]

    Failed to set Zextras Suite mode. Installation aborted.



    I have being using Zextras for 5 years and I just purchased the renewal license and now this. Can someone help please??

    We'll need sensitive information to deeper investigate this, so please open a ticket on our Support Portal and provide us with the following information:

    * the output of `zmcontrol -v`
    * the mailbox.log file
    * the output of `bash -x ./install.sh all`

    Thanks for replying Matt... I have to say my problems stemmed from the fact that I did NOT have a generally working Zimbra install before I tried the Zextras install.

    Everything is good now

    you're right, indeed you cannot install Zextras Suite if the mailboxd is not running.

    mailboxd was running. In fact all of the Zimbra services were running and I was able to send email through my SmartHost. The only thing that I believed cause the issue was IPv6 and DNS. Once I disabled IPv6 on my Ubuntu 18.04 server and confirmed DNS was fine AGAIN I was able to install Zextras. BTW... I do not like netplan.
