    MaxPermSize warning on Zimbra 7

Hi everybody, we are running ZeXtras backup on Zimbra 7.2.3 . Last night we received a warning email telling us that

ZeXtras Suite has detected that the MaxPermSize value as set in the mailboxd_java_options property of the local configuration in server zimbra.sister.re.it may be too low (128 MB).
I searched on Zimbra and ZeXtras wiki and, as far as I understood, setting MaxPermSize to 350m is mandatory only on Zimbra 8. Do we have to set it on our Zimbra 7, too? The email we received was sent after a server error or it is only a generic "advice"?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello Cinmar!

The notification you received is a generic advice...
It's not mandatory to update the MaxPermSize value on Zimbra 7, but based on our experience with running ZeXtras Suite on both 8.0.2+ and 7.2.2+ it improves performances of the system and lowers the risk of OOM errors and service restarts (especially on older 7.2.x versions which seemed very sensitive to this problem).

    Have a nice day,
