Hello anandi!
That guide was especially written for Zimbra 7.x, and unfortunately while cbpolicyd is still included in Zimbra 8 the guide you linked (from user feedback I got) is not accurate for this version.
Anyhow, the main advantage of using CBPolicyd is that it allows you to define a set of rules and policies to be applied on the mailflow of your Zimbra server such as Greylisting, HELO Checks and Quota management.

Hi Cine,
Thanks for the reply. Is there any info available on CBPolicyd ? Like is it better to use it etc ?
Hi Anandi!
The official CBPolicyd website contains all the informations and docs about the modules and the options of CBPolicyd...
In my opinion it's a nice piece of software that needs a careful planning and setup in order to properly work in large environments, so I only suggest it to those who have at least a basic knowledge on how postfix works and on how the emails flow from and to your server.
